The successful Trainee Primary Teacher will be joining a group of dedicated professionals who go the extra mile and encourage students to see that there is dignity in hard work. The team at Bournville want the very best for their students and challenge them to have the ambition and drive to shape and change their own and others' lives.

We know that two full years in a school will enable you to become a confident and reflective practitioner. Through rich experiences in a consistent setting blended with online learning and insightful residentials, Premier Pathways develops you at a steady pace.

Our salaried programme supports you financially, whilst both a University Tutor and Premier Pathways Mentor nurture your academic progress and wellbeing. This unique combination of no tuition fees, educational support and peer network allows you to focus on the fundamentals of teaching and learning and refining your practice.

The first year of the programme will see you join your school in a support role capacity, working towards the standards of a Teaching Assistant apprenticeship. This will equip you with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for a successful career in education and allowing you to practice them within the context of your school.

The second year is when your PGCE will commence, taught by the highly esteemed University of Buckingham. Your teaching timetable will increase as you put your theoretical understanding and practical experience to effect, remaining at a pace that is both challenging and comfortable.

Bournville School is a fantastic environment in which to realise your teaching potential - the application window for this opportunity is now open. Apply today.
