About the School
This is a small, inclusive school where there are fantastic rapports amongst staff and pupils. Pupils are in ‘families’ (houses) and this creates opportunities for them to mix with peers and indeed teachers that they would usually not have the chance to engage with. These smaller communities amplify the overall community spirit of the school, and the harmonious atmosphere is regularly noted by all visitors and new staff.
The school places a huge emphasis on the importance of creative arts. Pupils are encouraged to each learn an instrument and hone their skills throughout their time at the school. Any Trainee Teacher that can bring a creative talent will be invited to share these skills with the student body.
What the school wants to see from the successful Trainee Teacher:
Be able to think on your feet
Be passionate about your subject
Be committed to a career in education
Be confident to ask for help when you need it – the school wants to support you and see you succeed!
You need to be willing to learn!
Must have English and Maths Grade C and above at GCSE
Must possess a Humanities based degree with a 2.2 or higher classification
We are currently hosting initial video interviews between potential trainees and schools.
